University of Detroit Mercy, CIS/IA Students and Faculty Celebrate 20 years Studying in the UK - 2008 London - Next trip being planned for 2010                                                                                                         

We had a great time!   Monday we visited with BSI and had a wonderful briefing on the 27000 Series of Standards.  Tuesday we had a roundtable discussion with Faculty from Southbank University, Nigel Jones Driector, Cyber Security KTN and John Harrson, SSD SIG Chair.  It was an honor for the UDM students to interact with the UK Information Security folks and for our NSA representatives to share with the group the work they are doing in IA Education. 

A few of the woman had afternoon tea with this view of the Thames and Big Ben.  Wednesday  we stepped aboard a private bus for a day-trip to Oxford. UDM IA Director Dr. Shoemaker  and the NSA folks met with Oxofrd University professors to discuss expanding our International Coalition.   We finish the day, dinning at the Trout- a  rare treat!  A beautiful English Country Inn on the bank of a river, with Peacocks roaming free.
